Ken Block Dies In Snowmobile Accident At Age 55

The motorsports world paid tribute to American Ken Block, a professional rally driver whose daring stunts made him an internet sensation after he died in a snowmobile accident at the age of 55.
Bullock’s Houngan Racing Team confirmed his death in an Instagram statement on Monday.
“Ken was a visionary, a pioneer, an icon, and most of all a father and husband.
The accident occurred in Wasatch County, Utah, and the sheriff’s office said Bullock was driving up a steep hill when the snowmobile capsized and landed on him.

After starting his rallying career in 2005, Brock of the Year in the Rally America Championship. He competed in the World Rally Championship and won multiple rallycross his medals at the X Games.
American sportswear company DC Shoes co-founded his video series Gymkhana, in which he rode dangerous tracks and obstacle courses. The series has been viewed millions of times on YouTube.
He also appeared on the BBC show Top Gear, which included a scene in which he performed a tire burnout drifting with actor Matt LeBlanc in London.
Former rally driver and president of the International Automobile Federation (FIA), Mohamed Ben Sulayem, said on Twitter that Brock was “an inspiration to all of us and a true gentleman of our sport.”
2009 Formula 1 world champion Jenson Button said.
“Such a talent who has contributed so much to our sport. He was a true visionary with a unique style and a winning smile. We lost one person, but more importantly, we lost a great person,” he said on Twitter.
